Apple German Pancake

Apple German Pancake, also known as a Dutch Baby Pancake, made with flour, milk, eggs and fresh apples. The apples add so much flavor to this classic German pancake recipe!

Ingredients

  • 2 apples peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 4 Tbsp butter divided
  • 4 Tbsp sugar divided
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup flour

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°.
  • Smear 2 tablespoons of butter in the bottom of a pie dish or oven proof skillet. Cover bottom with apples and then sprinkle with cinnamon and 2 tablespoons sugar. Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Mix eggs, milk, flour and the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar. Pour over the baked apples.
  • Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and pour butter over everything else in the pan.
  • Bake 15 minutes or until browned and puffy. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve hot.
