Apple Pie Bars

- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg beaten
- 2 cups apples peeled and chopped
Preheat oven to 350°.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar and butter, blend until crumbly. Press about 2 3/4 cups of the crumb mixture into the bottom of a greased 9X13 pan.
To the remaining crumb mixture, add cinnamon, baking soda, salt, sour cream, vanilla and egg. Beat until thoroughly combined. Stir in apples. Spoon evenly over bottom layer.
Bake for 35-40 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Garnish with whipped cream before serving.
