Ingredients

  • 16 jumbo pasta shells cooked according to package, rinsed and drained, patted dry
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 pkg taco seasoning mix
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Mexican blend, etc) divided
  • 16 oz. jar salsa divided

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Brown beef in skillet, drain. Add seasoning mix and water. Cook over low heat for about 5 minutes or until thickened.
  • Turn heat off and add beans and 3/4 cup cheese. Mix well.
  • Spread 1/2 cup salsa into the bottom of a greased 9X13 pan. Fill pasta shells with the beef and bean mixture. Place shells in dish, filled side up. Spoon the remaining salsa over the shells.
  • Cover with foil and bake for about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake uncovered for about 10-15 more minutes.
