Ingredients

Banana Donuts

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (120g)
  • 3 TBSP cornstarch (30g)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 TBSP butter (30g)

Chocolate Glaze

  • 5.3 oz dark chocolate 52% cocoa, chopped (150g)

Decoration

  • Chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

Banana Donuts

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Start to melt the butter. Set aside
  • Mash the bananas with a fork or a mixer.
  • Combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and sugar.
  • Add the mashed bananas, the eggs, and the melted butter. Stir well but not overmix.
  • Pour the mix into the donut pan and place in the oven for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Transfer carefully the donuts to a cooling rack and let them cool completely.

Chocolate Glaze

  • Place the chopped chocolate in a microwave proof bowl. Melt for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each time until it is completely melted and smooth.
  • Dip one face of each donut into the melted chocolate (one at a time). Place the donut, glaze-side-up on a cooling rack and add chocolate sprinkles. Let the chocolate set and enjoy.
