Baked Parmesan Asparagus
Baked Parmesan Asparagus is a cheesy side dish made with fresh asparagus & parmesan cream sauce. Easy baked asparagus topped with bread crumbs and butter for a toasty crunch.
- 2 pounds asparagus, woody ends removed
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup parmesan, grated and divided
- 1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup butter, melted and divided
Preheat oven to 375º F
Place asparagus in an 11 x 7 inch baking dish. Combine heavy cream, half of the parmesan and butter. Pour over the asparagus.
Bake the cream and asparagus in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until the asparagus is just tender.
While the asparagus is baking, combine the breadcrumbs, remaining butter and parmesan. Mix until well combined.
Remove the asparagus from the oven and sprinkle with the breadcrumb mixture. Place back in the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the breadcrumbs are golden brown. Serve immediately.
