- 4 cups strawberries, diced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbsp all purpose flour
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp lemon zest
Topping ingredients
- 1/3 cup butter, cold
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 375ºF. Grease an 11x7 inch baking dish.
In a small bowl combine the cinnamon and sugar.
In a large mixing bowl combine strawberries, cinnamon sugar mixture and flour. Gently stir to coat.
Add lemon juice and lemon zest to strawberries and transfer to greased 11x7 inch pan
How to make Strawberry Crisp Topping
In a food processor combine the flour, oats, cinnamon, sugar, salt and butter. Pulse until the topping looks like coarse crumbs.
Pour the topping over the top of the strawberries in the baking dish, making sure to coat evenly and go all the way to the edges.
Bake for 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and fruit is soft and bubbly. Serve hot or cold.
