  • 7 cups mini marshmallows divided
  • 4 TBSP butter
  • 6 cups rice Krispie cereal
  • green food coloring
  • Easter candies


  • Spray rubber scraper, inside of a microwaveable mixing bowl and muffin tins with non-stick spray.
  • Measure 6 cups of mini marshmallows out and add them to the bowl. Add in butter, cut into pieces. Microwave for 1 minute 25 seconds.
  • Pour in cereal and stir until well combined. Stir in remaining 1 cup of mini marshmallows and 10 drops green food coloring.
  • Transfer 2-3 TBSP portions to a mini muffin tin cups or regular muffin tin cups and press in the center to create a cavity. Let cool to set for 1 hour.
  • Use a thin knife to gently pop each marshmallow basket out of the muffin tin cups. Place 2-4 Easter candies in each basket. Candies will stick better if you create a good cavity and they have a chance to set.


Store leftovers in an airtight container on the countertop. Recipe yields 24 mini Easter treats and 12 regular Easter treats.
