Ingredients

  • 16 wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2-3 cups oil for frying
  • powdered sugar for topping

Instructions

  • Prep: Begin by filling a medium saucepan with oil and heat over medium heat for about 5 minutes before frying the wontons. Next, lay parchment paper on a large baking sheet and lay out each of the wonton wrappers.
  • Assemble: Then, beat the egg in a small bowl and brush all of the edges of each wonton wrapper.  Proceed to scoop 1 tablespoon of Nutella into the middle of each wrapper and then fold over to form a triangle. Gently press the edges together, being careful not to smash the Nutella down (you do not want it to ooze out of the sides or they won't seal).
  • Fry: Continue to place each wonton in the heated oil, cooking on each side for about 20 seconds or until light golden brown. Them remove each wonton with tongs and place on paper towel to absorb the excess oil. Sprinkle the wontons with a light coating of powdered sugar, serve and enjoy!
