  • 1 12- oz bag green Wilton Candy Melts*
  • 60 mini pretzels
  • 20 stick pretzels
  • 60 pieces green & white chocolate candies
  • 2 tbsp green & white sprinkles

  • Melt chocolate: Get started by melting the chocolate in a bowl for 1 minute in the microwave. Gently stir, then microwave for additional 30 second intervals as needed. Mine went for about 2 minutes, then I let the chocolate melt the rest of the way in the warm bowl.
  • Shape Pretzels: First, set out a large sheet of wax paper or parchment paper out on a large baking sheet or two. Then start shaping each shamrock, you will need 3 mini pretzels and 1 stick pretzel. Next, dip each pretzel, one after the other, then shake off the excess chocolate.
  • Lay each piece on the wax paper, forming the shamrock shape where the bottoms of all 3 mini pretzels are touching. Then gently wedge in the coated stick pretzel between them. It's not difficult, I promise! After the first couple, you will be a shamrock-making machine!
  • Decorate: Immediately after arranging your shamrock, decorate it with 3 chocolate candies and green and white sprinkles. Be sure to do this quickly, want to do this before the chocolate sets.
  • Cool: Proceed to let the shamrock pretzels cool until the chocolate turns from shiny to matte. Then gently remove any chocolate dribbles from the sides (if you prefer). Serve and enjoy!
  • *Instead of using green candy melts, you can essentially make your own by slowly melting 1 12-oz bag of white chocolate chips with 1 TBSP shortening or coconut oil in the microwave. Start with 1 minute, then add 30 seconds and gently stir. I add one more 30 second interval, then let the chocolate sit in the warm bowl for an additional minute or two, then stir gently. After chocolate is melted, add 2-3 drops green food coloring.

Shamrock pretzels are a creative and fun treat to share during any St. Patrick's Day celebration! These St. Patrick's Day Pretzels taste amazing and everyone is sure to enjoy them.
