CHERRY PIE POPS

Cherry Pie Pops are an appetizing and fun treat to serve for any occasion. These pillsbury cherry pie pops are made with a premade pie crust, sweet cherry pie filling and baked onto a popsicle stick.

Ingredients

  • 2 refrigerated pie crusts you could also make your favorite pie crust recipe instead
  • 1 21-ounce can cherry pie filling
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 11 popsicle sticks

Instructions

  • Prep: Begin by preheating the oven to 400degrees F. Then, line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicon mat and set aside.
  • Assembly: Next, lay out the pie crusts on a clean counter top and cut the dough into 3-inch circles using a round cookie cutter or even a small cup. I was able to make 8 circles in each pie crust and then I rolled out the scraps and got 6 more circles, making 22 circles which makes 11 total pie pops.
  • Place the half of the circles on the parchment lined baking sheet and then press a popsicle stick onto each circle. The top of the popsicle stick should come to about the halfway point on each circle.  
  • After that, scoop a little bit of pie filling onto each circle (about 2 cherries each). Then brush the edges of the circles with a little bit of milk and then top each pie with the remaining half of the dough circles. Press the edges of each pie with a fork to seal them closed. Also, pierce the tops with a fork or you can make a decorative design if you'd like.  
  • Bake: Place the pies in the preheated oven and bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly browned. Let them cool completely before removing them from the baking sheet, give them at least 10 minutes to cool. Serve immediately and enjoy!
