- 4 oz softened cream cheese
- 1 TBSP butter softened
- ½ tsp orange extract or orange oil flavoring
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1-2 drops orange food coloring optional
Prep: In a small bowl, soften the cream cheese and butter in the microwave for 20 seconds. Zest the orange to get the required measurement of zest for this recipe.
Combine: Next, combine the softened cream cheese and butter with the orange extract, and orange zest in a large mixing bowl. Mix all ingredients well.
Add the powdered sugar, ½ cup at a time, and mix until you get a dough-like consistency that isn’t sticky.
Shape: Scoop the cream cheese mixture into 1/2-inch balls, roll until smooth and place onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Press each mint down with the tines of a fork.
Let the mints cool for an hour in the refrigerator before serving. Enjoy!
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
Candies can be frozen for up to 2-3 months.
