- 2 pints raspberries about 3 cups, crushed
- 1 lb peaches about 2-3 peaches, finely chopped
- 3 cups sugar
- 1.75 oz box of Sure Jell pectin
- 1 cup water
Prep: Start by washing, destemming and crushing the raspberries. You can try and strain out some of the seeds if you would like- I never have the patience for this.
Peel, pit and finely chop the peaches.
Jam mixture: In a large saucepan, combine the sugar and the pectin. Then, turn the heat on medium-high. Add in the water and whisk all to combine well.
Proceed to bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Let it boil for 2-3 minutes while continuing to stir. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in peaches and raspberries.
Once thoroughly mixed, transfer to the freezing containers, leaving about 1/2" space at the top for expansion.
Cover containers and let sit at room temperature for 24 hours. Enjoy one of the jars immediately, freeze the rest for later!
Homemade freezer jam can last for up to a year in the freezer if stored properly in an airtight container.
Once thawed, the jam should be consumed within 3-4 weeks and stored in the refrigerator.
