Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 TBSP cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 TBSP brown sugar
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 TBSP vinegar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • Buns for serving
  • Pickles for topping

Instructions

  • Prep: Spray your slow cooker with some non-stick spray and then add in the chicken.
  • In a small bowl mix up the cayenne pepper, paprika and garlic salt. Sprinkle the seasoning all over the chicken. Then sprinkle on the brown sugar.
  • Drizzle the honey all over the top of the chicken and pour in the vinegar too. Slice the butter into a couple of cubes and place it on top of the chicken.
  • Cook: Then add the lid to your crockpot and cook on high heat for 2 hours or on low heat for 4 hours.
  • Shred: Once cooked, remove the chicken breasts, and shred them in a bowl before returning to the crockpot.
  • Stir the shredded meat in the juices to evenly coat the chicken. Serve on soft buns with pickles and enjoy!

Notes

To store leftover Crockpot Hot Honey Chicken, place it in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3-4 days. To reheat, place the chicken in the microwave or oven until heated through.
