Ingredients

  • 1 cup Canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Allspice you can leave it out and it will not affect the amazing taste of this dessert.
  • ¼ tsp Nutmeg
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1-1 ½ cups Chocolate chips depending on how many you prefer
  • ½ cup Walnuts chopped

Instructions

Prep

  • Start by preheating the oven to 365 degrees F.
  • Then, spray a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray or lay down parchment paper or a silicon baking mat.

Cookie dough

  • In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, vegetable oil, vanilla extract and the eggs. Stir to combine.
  • Next, add in all the spices, the cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and salt and stir well.
  • In a separate small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Stir to combine.
  • After that, slowly pour in the flour mixture with the wet ingredients and mix until no white flour is visible.
  • Then, fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts to the batter and mix just until combined.

Bake

  • Proceed to drop spoonful's of cookie batter onto the prepared baking sheet. Do not worry about shaping them and making them look pretty, the cookies will puff up a bit and even out any rough edges.
  • Put them in the preheated oven and bake for 11-13 minutes, depending on the size of your cookies.
  • Let them cool for 5-10 minutes, then serve and enjoy!
