Ingredients

Layer 1

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 square unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup chopped almonds
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Layer 2

  • 6 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ¼ cup butter softened
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • ¼ cup chopped almonds
  • 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips (3/4 cup)

Layer 3

  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 square unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 oz cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°. To make the first layer, melt butter and chocolate together (microwave or stove) and then add sugar, eggs and other dry ingredients. Mix until well combined and then pour into a greased 9X13 pan.
  • Make the second layer by mixing the cream cheese, sugar, egg, vanilla, butter and flour. Beat until fluffy, then spread over the chocolate mixture in the pan. Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over top. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle marshmallows over the top. Bake for 2 more minutes, or until marshmallows are puffed up.
  • Have the third layer ready before removing pan from oven. Melt the butter and chocolate together and then add the other ingredients, mixing until well combined. Pour over top of the marshmallows and then use a knife to swirl the chocolate and marshmallow together. Refrigerate and then cut into bars.
