Ingredients

  • 1 small onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 3 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes
  • 3 6 oz cans tomato paste
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 Tbsp dried parsley
  • 1/8 tsp sugar
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Saute onion and garlic in butter for about 3-4 minutes or until tender.
  • Blend tomatoes and tomato paste in a blender until smooth. Combine with onion and garlic and pour into slow cooker.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients. Cook on high for 3 hours, stirring occasionally or low for 6-7 hours. Remove the bay leaves and serve over spaghetti noodles.
