Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce is a decadent and delicious topping that can take any dessert to the next level. This rich and creamy hot fudge sundae sauce is perfect for drizzling over ice cream, cake, or brownies, and is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Cook sauce: Combine the butter, sugar, cocoa, evaporated milk, and salt in a medium saucepan.
Over medium heat, bring the mixture to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium-low to maintain a low rolling boil for about 7-8 minutes, stirring quite frequently.
Remove the mixture from heat and add the vanilla. The sauce will be thin, but it will thicken as it cools. Let it cool for a few minutes.
Blend: Blend for 2-3 minutes.
Pour the sauce into jars or a serving container and use as desired. Serve over ice cream, brownies, cookies, or cake! Enjoy!
Notes
The fudge sauce should be stored in a tightly sealed container and kept in the refrigerator. This will help to prevent the growth of bacteria and keep the sauce fresh. If stored properly it will last up to 2 weeks.
