- 2 cups fresh blueberries or frozen blueberries*
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp water
In a small saucepan add the blueberries, sugar, and water. Stir to combine.
Place over medium heat stirring occasionally until it comes to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 30-35 minutes until thickened.
Once the mixture starts to thicken, stir constantly. You know it’s ready when the jam is stirred, you can see the bottom of the pan.
Let the jam cool and then pour it into an airtight container or jar & store in the fridge for up to 7-10 days. Jam can also be frozen in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
*Frozen berries will give off more water, so you can omit the 1 tbsp of water. You may have to cook them about 5 minutes longer as well.
Serve fresh blueberry jam on muffins, biscuits, scones or toast. Delightful on pancakes & waffles, crepes or even as an ice cream topping!
