German Sausage Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Sausage cooked & in small pieces
  • 1 med Onion diced
  • ½ lb Fresh Green Beans cut into halves or thirds
  • 3-4 med Russet Potatoes diced
  • 8 oz Mushrooms *optional
  • 6 cups Water
  • 3 tsp Beef Bouillon (or 3 bouillon cubes)
  • 2 tsp Seasoning Salt
  • 1 tsp Dried Basil
  • 1 tsp Summer Savory Seasoning

Instructions

  • Add the sausage to a large pot. Cook on low, using a chop stir to mince the meat into small pieces while you wash and trim the green beans.
  • Add in the green beans and then wash and scrub the potatoes. Dice potatoes and add them to the pot.
  • Dice your onion and add it to the pot as well.
  • Add in everything else and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce to a simmer and let it cook for 2 hours. Serve hot & enjoy!

Notes

CROCK POT DIRECTIONS: Alternatively, you can make this soup in the slow cooker by adding all of the ingredients to the pot and cooking on low for 10-12 hours or high for 5-6 hours.
