Chocolate Cream Cheese Pie
Chocolate Cream Cheese Pie is a simple pie made with cream cheese, cocoa, eggs, cream, vanilla and sugar all baked in a delicious graham cracker crust. This simple cream cheese pie recipe is rich and creamy like a perfect slice of cheesecake.
- 1 9 inch graham cracker pie crust
- 11 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup heavy cream, cold
- 21 ounces cherry pie filling, canned
Preheat oven to 350ºF
In the bowl of a stand mixer or large mixing bowl cream together the cream cheese and sugar. Mix in the cocoa, stopping the mixer to scrap the sides frequently to make sure it all gets mixed in well.
Mix in the eggs and vanilla. Add in the heavy cream and mix 30-45 seconds until well blended and creamy. The filling will be slightly lumpy.
Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and bake for 35-40 minutes. The center will still be a little soft, but will firm up when cooled.
Place the pie on a wire cooling rack and bring to room temperature. Cover the pie and place in the refrigerator until cooled through, up to 4 hours or overnight.
Top with pie filling just before serving.
