Easy Strawberry Fondue is a light, refreshing and super easy dessert that tastes simply divine. The options for dippers for this easy fondue recipe are endless too, it pairs well with so many dipper options!
Prep: Begin by placing the frozen strawberries in a food processor or blender, and mix until they are all pureed. Then, transfer the mixture to a medium saucepan. In a separate small bowl, combine the cornstarch and water, whisk and then stir it into the strawberry puree.
Cook: Proceed to bring the strawberry mixture to a boil, cook and stir for 1-2 minutes while boiling or until thickened. Next, stir in the cherry juice and then remove from the heat. This fondue is wonderful warm, but let it cool for 5-10 minutes or so before transferring to a serving bowl. Pair with your choice of dipping food, we had our fondue with angel food cake chunks, brownies, bananas, marshmallow and pretty much anything else that is chocolate. Serve and enjoy!
Homemade whipped cream (optional)
In a large bowl, using an electric handheld mixer, beat the whipping cream, powder sugar and almond extract together until stiff peaks form.
Add a dollop of the whipped cream to the fondue or dip it in the cream after dipping in the strawberry fondue. Either way, the combination of these two are incredible.
