STRAWBERRIES & CREAM FRENCH TOAST

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf California Goldminer Sourdough Bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk any variety!
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 TBSP flour
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1-2 cups fresh strawberries sliced & sprinkled with 2 TBSP granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Heat skillet to medium heat, about 275 degrees F.
  • Mix together the heavy whipping cream, 1/4 cup granulated sugar and almond extract until soft peaks form, about 4-5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla and flour. Dip slices of bread in milk mixture, then arrange on hot skillet. Flip bread after about 3 minutes and cook for an additional 2 minutes on the other side.
  • Top with a rounded dollop of sweetened cream and sliced strawberries.
