Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 TBSP baking powder
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cold butter diced
  • 1 cup milk
  • cinnamon-sugar mixture
  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 1/3 cup honey

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Spray a 8" square baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Combine dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly using a pastry cutter or a fork. Stir in milk just until moistened.
  • Sprinkle additional sugar on a countertop and scrape dough onto sugar. Sprinkle with more sugar and pat down with your hands until it's about a 7" diameter round. Use a glass or biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits, re-shaping the round as necessary to cut additional biscuits. (You'll get 9-11) Transfer biscuits to prepared pan. Sprinkle tops with cinnamon sugar.
  • Bake for 14-16 minutes, or until golden brown.

To make honey butter:

  • Combine honey and butter in a small food processor or blender. Pulse until combined. Smother on warm cinnamon biscuits. Store leftovers in an airtight container on the countertop for up to a week, or in the fridge up to 2 weeks.
