Apple Hand Pies

-21 ounces apple pie filling -1 pkg refrigerated pie crust  -1 egg yolk  -1 Tbsp water

Use a 5 inch diameter small bowl or a cookie cutter and place it upside down on the pie crust. Cut out 2-3 circles from the dough.

Place a small scoop of apple pie filling or fried apples into the center of the circle and then fold the pie crust in half to form a crescent shape.

Press down along the edges with the backside of a fork to crimp. Brush dough edges with more egg wash and transfer to the prepared baking sheet.

Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and the top is crispy.
