It says in the recipe to use a slotted spoon to pour the Jello through, then carefully place the Strawberries 🍓 in the Jello layer. Also I always put the dessert in the
Fridge for a while to help firm up the cream cheese layer. I love this dessert but it’s an all day event for me.

In reply to Karen. No, do not use wax paper. You can use parchment paper or foil but not wax paper because we will be baking the crust for a few minutes in the oven. If you used wax paper you will have an inedible dessert and a large mess on your hands, highly recommend parchment paper instead as it is made for baking and hot foods.

Could I use wax paper in the bottom of my 9 X 12 dish so the crust won’t stick?
