I love the IDEA of these squares, BUT...there's a huge difference between pureed fruit, and preserves or jam. Pureed fruit has no jelling additives, therefore has a much higher moisture content. Wouldn't this tend to make the crust SOGGY?

Under your "What are the Best Measuring Cups?" notes you state "USE measuring cups with no lips...", and further down, " And the cups that have a lip are harder to level ingredients. "
The REASON it's harder to level ingredients in these cups is because you're not SUPPOSED to. Cups with lips are LIQUID measuring cups. Flat topped/no lip cups are for DRY ingredients. There's a definite difference!

Now about the difference between using pureed fruit and preserves...? Thanks!

The flavor was good, but the bars fell apart into granola with chewy bites from the purée. I'll just use it as a topping or eat it with a spoon. 😊
