In reply to Susan C. It probably could be made without corn syrup though I haven't tried. The corn syrup acts as a binder and helps with the overall consistency and texture of the bars.

Can this be made without the corn syrup? Seems like it’s a pretty standard recipe like rice crispy treats and no corn syrup is used. What is the reason for the corn syrup if there is butter and marshmallows?
