Made this per recipe. Just OK. Rather dry. Revisions offered in comments are huge improvements, Best to look elsewhere for a good real pound cake recipe

In reply to bill godwin. I made the Lemon Buttermilk pound cake. This is a delicious cake It is very moist. I used about four tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to make it have a more lemony flavor and in the glaze I put an extra two tablespoons of lemon. You can see that I like the taste of lemon. I would rate this cake a five.
