I just made these caramels, I think it started to burn, I had these little dark bits floating around, I got to 244, and took it off the stove because I thought I was burning it, I tasted it, yummmmmmy.
Will let you know how it is tomorrow.
I’m excited, I’ve never made them before.

These caramels were so delicious. They didn’t last long at Christmas. They were so soft and chewy. I will definitely make these again!

The original recipe calls for 1 cup of butter, or 2 sticks. So if you double it, you’d use 2 cups of butter, which is 4 sticks.
