Festive Halloween Chocolate Coated Pretzels
Halloween Pretzels are a favorite of mine! I love to get creative with each holiday and come up with fun, creative ways to dip pretzels. They are so easy to make and I love that they usually only require a few ingredients. Get your kids involved and let them help, it makes the process go really fast and it is such a fun activity. Be sure to watch the video to see just how we made all three of these Halloween Pretzels.

Helpful tools for dipping chocolate
My favorite chocolate dipping tool is this Wilton Dipping Tool. It makes dipping just about anything in chocolate super easy and I highly recommend it for these pretzels. Also, depending on your culinary skills and needs, this Wilson set is extremely helpful too.
How do you melt chocolate in the microwave?
Melting chocolate in the microwave is easy if you go slowly. Always use a glass or ceramic bowl and chocolate that’s not old. To melt 1 cup of chocolate chips I’d begin with 1 minute in the microwave. After the 1 minute, let chocolate sit for 2-3 minutes. Then, gently stir and see if chocolate begins to melt smooth. If it’s still really solid, add 20 seconds in the microwave, then let it sit again. Often chocolate looks like it’s not melted when it really is, and you don’t know for sure until you gently stir it. If your chocolate melts but it’s too thick to work with, try adding 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil or shortening, then letting it melt and stirring it in.
EASY PUMPKIN PRETZELS
Super simple, classic Halloween treat that I first posted several years ago. These are one of my family’s favorite treats, we love all things pumpkin. As soon as the weather starts turning a bit dreary, we deem it fall and break out all the pumpkin theme recipes. This recipe in particular has been popular year after year- you have got to try it! See the full recipe & instructions here.
Paranormal Pretzels
These cute little green aliens are the creepiest of the three recipes, but they also happen to be my kids favorite! They are so simple to make and fun to eat. Get creative and use a variety of colors and chocolates to create the eyes. Although these look more like zombie pretzels, they are still pretty fun ways to enjoy a salty-sweet snack. See the full recipe & instructions here.
Mummy Pretzels
These are my newest creation and I love, love, love them! So simple and easy and I think they are the perfect balance of eerie and cute. It sounds like you overcooked your chocolate Brittany. Everyone’s microwaves are a bit different- maybe try again with less time initially?

I just have a little chuckle. For my grandsons birthday in October, I made cupcakes with orange frosting. I made the pretzel ghosts and put one at an angle on each one. There were so cute. Anyway, I took the cupcakes to class, opened up the box and a little boy started crying. Those scare me, he said. Took a bit to calm him down. To cute, just had to share.,
