In reply to tbird. Dear TBIRD, I bake with butter, milk, buttermilk, sour cream, cheese, and yogurt ALL THE TIME! Cookies, quick breads, cakes, etc. I don’t know where you got the idea that dairy products should not be used, but you definitely should try it. It lends a richness and creaminess to whatever you are making. Be brave! 🙂
