Your problem with it not staying crunchy is the milk and condensed milk. Remove those and make it! They aren’t needed for the recipe anyway.

In reply to Jodi. Jodi, I had the same issue. I put them in an airtight container, but they were definitely chewy and not as good the second day. I really felt like it had to be something I was doing wrong in the process of making them. I am wondering if you tried them again, and tweaked anything for better results?

In reply to Jodi. They certainly are best that first day! We found ours to be more chewy by the next day. Good, but just different! I wonder if refrigerating them would help them hold up better?

it was so yummy and had a little crisp the first day however the next day they tasted stale and kinda soggy. Where did I go wrong? I really want to try them again.
