Living in Salt Lake City certainly has it’s advantages and one of those is the sheer number of gorgeous towns all within an hour’s distance. One of those is Midway, Utah and our favorite place to stay is The Homestead. This was our second time at The Homestead and it was just as relaxing and welcoming as the first- and that’s saying a lot since we toted all 5 kids with us! (I include pictures from both times we’ve gone so that you can see everything!)
The Homestead is a comfortable and accommodating. The lodging is clean and the views are absolutely breathtaking. With our family, there is never a dull moment but I was still able to soak up the serene atmosphere. We unplugged. We talked. We took walks and played games together. I honestly can’t wait to go back!
One of the most unique and incredible parts of The Homestead is The Crater, a 55-ft tall natural geothermal spring. It sort of looks like a beehive but once you go inside, you’ll be amazed! It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before, and taking a soak in the mineral water is a must! The water is naturally 90-96 degrees and although we didn’t swim this time, our family has swam before and loved it. We will definitely soak again next time!!
We’re already planning a family reunion for this summer and can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a fun and relaxing family-friendly venue (or even a couples getaway!), then you’ve got to check out The Homestead in Midway!
Our family at The Homestead Resort, late fall. The colors were already over their peak but it was still gorgeous!
These next photos are of the last time we stayed, during the middle of Winter.
