Can you freeze white chocolate popcorn?
While you probably could freeze the popcorn and have it turn out tasting okay, the popcorn may taste soft or chewy once it thaws. For this reason, I recommend trying a small portion of popcorn in the freezer and then seeing if it ends up the way you like it so that you don’t have to risk ruining an entire batch of peppermint popcorn.
How long does white chocolate popcorn last?
In our house, it never lasts long but that could also be because I usually reserve it for large holiday parties where there are multiple guests. For best results, I recommend eating it within a week, but once you taste the irresistible white chocolate peppermint popcorn, you shouldn’t have an issue with that.
Peppermint Popcorn Ingredients
-3/4 cup of popcorn kernels or 5-6 bags of popped microwave popcorn
-1/4 cup canola, vegetable or coconut oil (you won’t need this if you’re using a microwave popcorn)

-1 cup crushed peppermint pieces (about 2 sticks or 10 candy canes)
How to make white chocolate popcorn with peppermint
How to pop the popcorn on the stove:
Pour oil in a large pot and heat on medium-high for 2 minutes.
Add in popcorn kernels and cover, gently shaking the pot occasionally.
Once popcorn begins to pop, decrease heat slightly and shake the pot more consistently.
Remove pot from heat once you can count to 3 between pops.
Remove unpopped kernels and pour popcorn into 1 giant bowl or 2 large bowls. Salt popcorn lightly if desired.
If using microwave popcorn, pop it and set it aside in a large bowl.

How to store white chocolate popcorn
White chocolate popcorn should be kept in an airtight container such as a Ziploc bag or another sealed container. This will help to keep your popcorn as fresh as possible for as long as possible. Leaving it exposed to the air for too long can make any popcorn variety go stale.
How long will white chocolate popcorn keep?
While caramel covered popcorn may last several weeks, white chocolate popcorn has a shorter shelf life. It can last a few days and taste great but you could possibly extend it to a week or two if the right conditions are met. As always, the fresher it is, the better it tastes, which is one of the reasons why you may not get to see the exact estimated shelf life of the popcorn as you will have no doubt eaten it long before then.
